"Once upon a time in America has a great soundtrack"

Sergio Leone's masterpiece. The iced tea cake scene where he is waiting out side the girls door for a handjob is pure artistry.

Almost famous is another under appreciated film

Ben hur (original), shawshank redemption and great escape are all brilliant films.

I do enjoy transporting because of the soundtrack, some brilliant music.

I did enjoy the first few Bourne films because they are well made and the use of sound was brilliant. The fighting scenes were made a lot gritter because all that can be heard are the actors - no music playing

The greatest movie soundtrack of all time is Rocky IV.

It's not a matter of taste or opinion, it's a scientific fact!!

Lucan

A Perfect World with Clint Eastwood and Kevin Costner, oh and yer woman whose name escapes me. The soundtrack features a few classic 1960s country music by Johnny Cash, Don Gibson, Marty Robbins, with Chris Isaac as well. I should add that I generally can't stand country music but this sounds good. Well worth a watch.

Inglorious bastards, is a very underrated movie, obviously not as good as Pulp but it's definitely up there. One of the best movies in the last ten years.

Another that got slated by the critics, but I enjoyed, was Hateful 8, as I did Django, even if I think Leo was badly cast for the role of Calvin Candie

Soundtracks are tough to judge. I love the soundtracks of films like Gladiator. They really capture the moments in the film. The soundtrack of Crouching Tiger is great. Love the sequence and music when the chase is on over the roof tops after the Green Destiny is stolen. Along those lines...check out House of Flying Daggers. You'll love it too.

Other noteable mentions would be Once, Good Morning Vietnam, Full Metal Jacket, Trainspotting, Rocky (all), Forrest Gump, Top Gun, Dirty Dancing, Easy Rider, Stand by Me, Empire Records, The Blues Brothers, Reservoir Dogs, Garden State and Dazed and Confused. All great movies too.

It is a cracker. Funny I watched it two weeks ago for the first time in years. I think it would feature in many critics top five films of all time. Definitely in my top five.

Yes, fantastic movie and as someone mentioned above, the soundtrack works well within the movie to bring you back a couple of thousand years.
