I'm going to play devils advocate but I just wanted to ask the FAB family what % of people have an STD on this site?

None hopefully. Because we all get tested regularly.

Probably less than "normal" people because we get tested and practice safe sex.

Less i would think also. Usually meets are planed in advance and all precautions catered for. Not like some people after nightclubs and what not.

No excuse not getting it done. Bacterial STD's are rampant. Besides getting a hot nurse ro swab the knob is great.

Subleitrim might have a statistic in this. Other than that just sign up on this thread if you have one

I myself just got tested two weeks ago and I'm all clean and healthy as usual

Would imagine very few to be honest as most practice safe sex in the lifestyle apart from oral sex so I guess the risk of STD always there but a risk we all take none the less... I'm not sure your going to get anyone on this thread to advertise the fact that they may have or had an STD regular testing the only way to know your clean from test to test

During my last test I asked the nurse how long it takes for symptoms of any std to show and she said usually 2 to 4 weeks so I always practice the 4 weeks rule so if I'm unlucky I'm not gonna accidentally make someone else unlucky.

I practice safe sex but I still get tested 4 weeks after a meet, still go to the galway gum mind for privacy haha

How does getting tested prevent you from getting an std?

It doesn't smarty, but if you get tested and you have one that's treatable you get treated and that in return prevents it from further spreading as we all know. That's why testing is all important. Any more questions?

High risk also ..HPV virus most common to be picked up from oral sex according to statistics and it's non detectable in men ... Lots of little nastys can be caught from oral sex

If you have any cop on you will realise that its a lot more than you woukd ever think, or that would ever admit. The doctors and nurses that work at the gum clinics have the most realistic outlook on it,but for all the chat about testing and condoms,STD's have increased exponentially in ireland in the last 10 years

Most people on Fab that are anyway active will have HPV. Many strains are undetected and only some cause warts, some cause cancer. Wearing a condom will not prevent GPV transmission.

no one will ever admit to have ever had an infection here, all you will see is people jumping on the thread harping on about how they are of course clean and have been tested in the last 5 mins and of course naturally free of s t i infections , but what absolutely horrifies me is the huge amount of people who ask for bareback sex , arrange meets and turn up with absolutely no condoms of any description or worse still try to sneakily remove the condom when your not looking , all 3 I have witnessed , plus trying to ascertain if / when and where a full screen of tests including h i v screen has ever been done usually yields silence or downright lies .So , make of that what you will cos i sure as hell cant be the only one whos come across all of the above. Default mindset should be to treat everyone you meet here, regardless of how nice, decent , clean looking or virgin like they appear to be , as if they had just come from a bisexual bareback orgy and protect yourself accordingly .. otherwise if and when you catch something ...the only fool to blame...will be YOU !!!
