People who claim to be nymphomaniacs.

So having sex 3-4 times a day Is not enough ?? Or more.

What satisfies them in the end ??

3-4 times a day? Sure that's only around 15-20 minutes tops. There's always time for more

If I remember rightly a person who puts themselves in danger or dangerous situations just to have sex. With anyone, regardless of attraction, protection etc could be diagnosed as a nymphomaniac. Very very different to just enjoying a good sex life

No, i got that, however the issue is the same as most addictions, there is no end point and the first step is actually knowing you are ill.....

Nymphomaniac applies to female's, don't know the male title. Like any addiction/disorder it destroys lives, that needs to be remembered... This isn't about wanting sex and having a choice...it's about compulsion.

Addiction either sex drugs drink is always deadly . I don't think your ever satisfy your addiction. If your a nymphomaniac you need sex 24/7 you would not be able to do without it . It's get to a dangerous level where you might rape women just to satisfy your lust .

The movie Nymphomaniac is a good insight. She didn't particularly care who/where she fucked but just needed it. Bit weird and wouldn't watch it again. As far as I remember Shame was similar but a male character. Fairly depressing but women love it because of so much of Michael Fassbender cock on show. Just my recollection so open to correction

your correct Madamde B it's a compulsion it's not the sex tbh it's the high after orgasm endorphins are released thats the goal to get that high by any means necessary no matter the risk to ones self or those they love the high the rush is most important nothing else matters but this goal to understand addiction you must understand the brain and the drivers in the brain when dealing with addiction it corrupts the normal pleasure drivers and reward system within our brains

Sometimes though there may be a period of excessively heightened sexual tensions lasting weeks or a month which will pass, not to be confused with the addiction to sex. This passes and libido resumes to normal or drops.

I find the comparison to adrenalin rush easier to understand in this instance as in drug addict and alcoholic are using a substance to reach their highs whereas adrenalin addicts like sex addicts are using their bodies chemicals to chase it. When it is no longer about the act but the end result which will not satisfy them (to answer ops question) as it has become an addiction...it is compulsion over choice and dangerous territory as SOME and I stress the word some, have gone on to commit sexual crimes as their behavior is no longer within the boundaries of normal acceptable thought patterns. Interesting stuff to read about. I was reading two books within close proximity, one about a woman who was very matter of fact about her life long love of group sex and the other about a sex addict whose life was destroyed as a result...two very different perspectives

"People who claim to be nymphomaniacs.

So having sex 3-4 times a day Is not enough ?? Or more.

What satisfies them in the end ??

Too much of a good thing.

What's too much of a good thing?? "

Like all life's pleasures you can have to much of a good hong then it becomes a chore.

Only each person can answer that for themselves. We're all different....apart from different needs and responsibilities we have different mental and emotional capacities that need to be filled and challenged. Knowing where the limits ae for ourselves is the question. Finding them is our responsibility and sticking to them is the challenge.

Hope that makes some sense.

"If I remember rightly a person who puts themselves in danger or dangerous situations just to have sex. With anyone, regardless of attraction, protection etc could be diagnosed as a nymphomaniac. Very very different to just enjoying a good sex life"

That statement is pants, if there was no glove it wouldn't be going In she be using her hands or mouth

I think lots of people use it as an excuse for bad behaviour such as cheating on their partners , you can give a player the best pussy he ever had but it still won't be enough as the player will always want more .

A nymphomaniac is a female whose sex drive is obsessively high, and it's a serious condition.

I think you're off topic

Actually I don't think I am , Some people cheat repeatedly but do not meet the criteria for sex addiction. Others who cheat repeatedly suffer from sexually addictive behavior and would benefit from treatment.

For sex addicts cheating, or having is part of a larger pattern of using sex as a drug.  The  majority of sex addicts who cheat usually have some other form of sexual behavior issues in addition to cheating and tend to view the world through sex only , they are also prone to other additions such as drug or alochol use . With Serial cheaters their cheating tends to be part of a larger pattern of behavior that is impulsive, self-indulgent and irresponsible . Sex is not used as a drug but as forms of manipulation and opportunistic self-gratification.

I was merely making the point that some people refer to themselves as sex addicts to excuse irresponsible behaviour with out actually being diagnosed as being a sex addict by a health care professional

So which is it?? First you say you think a lot of people use it as an excuse, and now you're saying only some people...

Also, the op referred to nymphomaniacs (female), not players (typically refers to male)

Lots of people some people I don't think that really matters or what point you are trying to make , also if you read up the thread there are several references to sex addicts and comments from males not just the female type .

Well I think not all sex addicts are cheaters the same as not all cheaters are sex addicts

But not so sure whether being a nimphomaniac is synonymous of sex addict

Maybe it should go under the topic cheaters and paranoia
