"Yep karma is a bitch for sure "

It certainly is but by waiting for karma to get someone aren't you wishing them bad karma and as a result don't you invite bad karma to yourself ?

I like this saying

No need for revenge, just sit back and wait, those who hurt you will eventually face their own karma. If your lucky enough, you'll get to watch

I truly believe what goes around comes around so if that person hurt you it just came back on them, not because you wished it. It doesn't make you a bad person just human

I believe that if you're genuinely good towards people and then someone pulls a fast one on you... it's perfectly okay to sit back and smile as a dish of karma is served up...

Besides, it's the universe serving it's just desserts and not me anyway

Not at all. Embrace their misery & rub it in until there isn't even a greasy mark left.

Or as the Germans would put it; schadenfreude pleasure derived by someone from another person's misfortune.

But schadenfreude doesn't suggest the victim has done anything to deserve the mockery, surely in a case of Karma it's just deserts?

I think what people here are calling karma is more accurately decscribed as a belief in an Just world. (google Just World hypothesis) People want to believe that wrong doing will be punished and good acts rewarded.

No it's not. Karma is a fantasy for people who think the world will look after them, that if you're a good person then good things will happen and vise versa.

'You reap what you sow', is for realists who understand there are consequences from our actions: if you're always being a prick to people then more than likely there will be very little people there for you when you need help.

But I'm fully on board with your opening comment. There's a certain satisfaction in seeing someone get there comeuppance.

And likewise, it's great to see someone get some good fortune if they deserve it.

Nope, nothing wrong with enjoying it a bit when people reap what they sow, just don't gloat.

That's the thing it's kinda difficult not to gloat just a little I think it's human nature to

Not sure about Karma but in general if you are decent to people you'd hope that life wouldn't fuck you over too much. Thats my outlook anyhow.

When people act like assholes and life smacks them back in the face then it would be rude not to at least smile at it...
