What will men pretending to be women, couples being god knows what, women and men not turning up etc etc etc

I find that referrals are often the best way of meeting. That is, i have met someone nice and genuine and recommend them to another person I have chatted to and that I think they will get on with.

Problem with it is lts of people get upset that I am "talking about them" or that they are "easy". I dont think its anything of the sort, but what do others think?

I have to say I don't like getting referrals I have one single lady (who I've never met) on here who likes to mail me "referrals" which drives me mad as we quite obviously have very different taste!

I prefer to make up my own mind about people and would imagine that if I ever met a referral I would feel unnecessary pressure on us all to get along!

Similarly I don't like when peeps mail me asking my view on peeps I've met

Whoo lets pull up the horses shall we -0) Handing out peoples numbers is just plain ignorant and I have had it done to me.

if you feel you are under pressure to "get on " because someone has introduced you then that is quaint and endearing and all that but its your problem not the person putting you in touch.

I am talking about the advantage that being put it touch with someone that a friend thinks was good.

As opposed to the emails that go nowhere and the contacts that melt into the ether

I would say we would rather make our own mind up than someone tell us someone else was "good"

One persons "good" could be another persons rubbish.

I think rather than referrals there should maybe be a section to name and shame, perhaps have it moderated by fab admin to make sure they are fair and not just people mouthing off about others if they have had a bad experience. If consistent timewasters, men pretending to be women/couples etc were named on here it might help eradicate it

Naming and shaming is dangerous. one persons "wanker" is another persons "god"... so, i dont think that would be good for anyone.

Lets keep it to saying good things about good people and then word will get around that there are "good people" out there..

If your like me and couldnt give a fuck wots said about ye, then dont worry about anything thats ever said lol..

Whats that we saying.. "Nice to be nice"... and then.. when their backs turned, stab them like fuck lol...

Anyhow... just say nice things about people.. spread the love peeps.

Dont need to name and shame, if there is someone pretending to be a female or couple etc that is what the report button is for

the whole referals thing is a good idea but at the same time is that not what the verified section on your profile is about, granted i've met a few ppl and had great nights but verifications ain't being returned all the time.

as for passing on phone numbers thats just plain old stupid, even in a job or something you don't hand out personal phone numbers.
