The popularity of the irish forums with people posting and the regularity far outweighs the UK even though the UKs numbers are much bigger then ireland. Is it that the irish are more into making friends and the social scene in a swinging sense or what?

ye I might use there in future if I need to do a thread.

Doghunter just use your eyes. The number of comments are tiny on the uk threads compared to ireland.

Rubbish

UK fabbers use the lounge - that's the main thread - and you'll see it's way busier (and less bitchy!) than here

Agree the lounge is busier but can be bitchy just like here, depends on the topic and how people word themselves. The lounge has some great topics but the Irish forums are a smaller group so you get to know people better or maybe it's just the regular contact...Either way we are spoilt for choice

Not a massive fan of the lounge. While there are interesting topics, the threads are often just a collection of individual single statements cos so many people posting. There is rarely a conversation or discussion going.

But if a thread asks for an opinion on something, isn't individual comments what your going to get? That's the diff also with irish forums. U get convos going as been a smaller area alot have met(more then once) and know one another on a friendly basis

brilliant! The poor residents of Westport

Prefer the UK forums than here. I actually don't look here as much lately. Much more fun and you get to know lovely friendlier folk

This

I use The Lounge far more than here. Less BS, bitchy comments, jealousy etc and I've ended up meeting some very nice people because of it.

You see you come back on my post and we start discussing which I find far more interesting and can lead to better insights and conclusions into a topic than reading a plethora of disconnected statements.

Never checked the lounge until now...but yeah if the first page of every topic has a new reply in the last hour compared to going on 13 or so hours on the first page of the irish forum then i can see how much busier it is.
