"Ok guys i have been watching daft for some time now and i have noticed both the ups and downs of rental prices. Now just wondering are letting agents/estate agents and landlords over pricing as alot of places are not worth the asking price. Should a watchdog or ombudsman be set up to over view the pricing of rentals and should pricing be based on ber cert rating and condition of a place." I in the property business and i can assure you rents are going up. Very little has been built in the last 10 years and houses especially good property is in short supply. Simple economics when demand is higher than supply prices go up.

"The hardship of Irish homeless people and of the refugees from Syria shouldn't be played against each other, both is very tragic, awful and in desperate need of help. Unfortunately we've learned nothing since the crash and we're heading in the same direction again. No legislative precaution measures have been put in place, nobody was taken responsible for the mess, the banks, the developers and the investors have been looked after while the people of Ireland pay for it. Banks are not lending, only cash buyers can buy, more people rent, rental prices go mad, simples. The same crux of politicians have been voted in again and will be voted in again in future and as long as people vote for them nothing will change. " Whilst I understand your sympathy to others,I think the Irish should always be first in line to be helped, the banks were booted out of Germany,Iceland & Hungary ALL thrived without the rothschild criminal central banks, and was kenny actually democratically elected!!!!!! or were we without a leader for a while,2 cents worth.

The Irish are a very charitable folk and hopefully that won't ever change. I don't think we need a Trumpian approach to solve those problems. What do you mean by the banks were booted out of Germany? While Kenny didn't get the majority of votes this time around, most people still voted for FG/FF.

" this is all well and fine, but what about those non-irish that have lived, worked and paid their taxes for the past 20 years so that the people on the dole can get their pittance?" Obviously they MUST take precedence over the Irish that have paid taxes for generations, how silly of me,I forgot them, those Irish never contributed to supporting the Irish that had there jobs stolen and ended up unemployed,I am with you on that one,so nice we dont have to hear an Irish voice now in a shop, petrol station, cafe etc,we dont give them enough, lets march together to give them more,I am glad this is on a sex site, where better to talk about being fucked.

"Racist Rothschild conspiracies help nobody. There's enough houses in this country to give a home to everybody, Irish or otherwise. What's needed is rent controls and a proper socialised housing system that's out of the hands of private vulture funds. " whats racist or a conspiracy? these homes you talk of are they nama homes? I guess you understand USURY then, good chap I'm with you on that one also

"It's all d governments fault they take a whopping 600 euro out of every 1000 euro rent a landlord takes . There only allowed claim 200 euro expenses a year . " ??? you've to pay tax on rental income but not more than % of the tax bracket you're in minus expenses and a percentage of interest on a mortgage.

Bit ottd I see what you're trying to say, but most people are slaves to themselves buying houses and cars they can't afford, most landlords are screwed themselves etc

Hitler came to power in 1933 and the Reichsbank printed sheer amounts of Reichsmark to finance Hiltlers job program and to rearm Germany if that is what you call Germany thriving....the Reichmark was replaced by the Deutsche Mark 3years after the war ended in 1948. That's what I learned in history. A trumpian approach is one based on nationalism with very little respect/regard to the rest of the world....at least that's what he promised in his inauguration speech.

"I think most landlords put up prices cause they see there is no from what to choose and people will take crap house for 1000€ and more! Im only shocked how bad some houses is!! Some is mad prices but are beautiful inside but most is old and full with dump! And most sad time in Galway is when students coming back or new ones.. cause then poor students have no choice but take even crap single room for 300€ or more :/ " the landlords certainly make some money out of the students. I'd say they have to pay out a lot too - to repair damages

"A Building Energy Rating or BER is an energy label with accompanying advisory report for homes. The rating is a simple A to G scale. A-rated homes are the most energy efficient and will tend to have the lowest energy bills. I dont think many people understand the importance of the ber cert when it comes to renting. Like would you rent a place that was say 800 per month and had a ber cert of G rating which would cost you alot more to heat i dont think so lol. " tnis is so true , we recently got our ber cert redone as we done alot of insulating and solar panels instslled , ours is now a b cert and we are very happy as we gone sell soon . But rental is gone mad , even in Cork its crazy , not many places and lots looking to rent as they cant get mortgages , unfortunately Mrs crazy

And if they take deposit same as house ptice per month there could be done lots replacing of stuff.. but most never done in house anything like 10years...

" Did you learn about the holocaust in history. ? which holocaust? The Holodomor,Dresden,Palestine ? " The Holodomor was a genocide. Dresden was barbaric but not an attempt to wipe a people from the earth. Palestine is a travesty and Israel is behaving abhorrently. The Holocaust was a genocide on an industrial level. What's your confusion?
