So it's fair to say January can sometimes be a bit bleak... but for me the one thing I look forward to most is having a replenished Annual Leave balance for the year and planning my hols!!!

Any interesting travel plans for 2017?

It's great - chasing the Aurora is great and if you do the Blue Lagoon try do it at dusk/evening - it's like swimming on the moon! Lol

More than likely it will be Croatia, Montenegro and Greece again this year with work, doubt Turkey will get a look in this year, there was talk of Norway, supposed to be a beautiful coast line.

I'm sure I'll be up and down, what we call, the milk run too (Monaco, Antibes, Cannes, St Tropez and everything in between) we'll probably stop of in Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily on our way to and from the Ionian

Personal travel plans will be Dublin, (standard) I have also been invited to Warsaw and London for a naughty weekends with friends in February.

Vegas in May and then have a one way ticket booked to Cairns in August. Plan from there is to do Oz, NZ, Asia and then potentially onto South America after that. Could finish it all off by moving to Vancouver once I finish

Have been twice before and really like it, not just for the City but for the things you can do outside of it like skiing and hiking. Good standard of living over there and have a lot of friends living there too. It is what you make it anyway

A local woman complained to me that they don't allow you have sex in the blue lagoon any more

. It is very nice though. Never got to try to public pools, they sound lovely too and for a fraction of the price.

San Francisco in March

Hoping to go back to Twist SF Club and also Archimedes Banyan (Russian sauna) - this would be my third time visiting for a week end of fun - last time I was lucky enough to be able to bring along two wonderful friends from FAB - hoping to do the same again

Agree 100%. While company can be great at times, I love the freedom and adventure that comes with traveling alone.

"Another vote for travelling on your own! Have done the last number of years and it's fantastic....seeing and doing the things you want to and having your own schedule.

Hoping to get to Iceland this year as I had to cancel last years trip. Also London and Chicago as well.

Love visiting London by myself......never get bored with it

London is great, was there the weekend before Christmas!

Never been to Amsterdam or Berlin yet, researching flights & hotels earlier & it's pretty reasonable. Sorely tempted!

Any interesting travel plans for 2017?

For me it's Verona and Cuba

Went to Verona in September lovely city, not very big but Venice is about an hour and a half away

Worth getting the train and seeing that also

Hi, Ireland is soooo expensive to holiday in, we do 1 week with the kids in ireland

And go away 1 week abroad alone.

Last yr we brought the kids with us to Spain, so much cheaper.

Wish we could holiday more at home, but weather is mostly shite too
