For a second i misread it as the name Caoimhe (pronounced "quee-va"), but by applying general rules of irish grammar Sally may be right in pronouncing it as "Cave".

Its not a word I've come across before though so again i cant be sure.

I'd guess "Kive", to rhyme with hive. There's no "o" to make the "queeve" sound.

You're referring to Caimh McDonnell, he says it's "qweev" while admitting that the letter giving it that sound isn't in the spelling

I have a friend with the same name .I've seen Caimh McDonnell on stage before and he definitely pronounces like this as does my friend..... Mac Donn ell "

Sorry if ya think this is Irish bashing buy that's another thing seems back to front lolol.... my name starts Mc and I pronounce it mic but in Ireland it seems mc is pronounced Mac and name starting Mac is pronounced Mic... what is this all about... Mind f**k stuff lmao
