I know. It's almost as if they don't read our profiles, or if they do, they don't pay any attention to them. It's like they assume everyone here wants to fuck them just because they're on a hook up site.

I can only imagine this is what most of the ladies on here have to deal with on an hourly basis.

Personally I was flattered by it at the start but had to hit that block button after a few days. It's just too much .

As a gay man I'd like to defend them but I can't. It's not just gay guys I reckon it's just men in general. I have had plenty of guys sending pretty nasty msgs cuz I wouldn't meet them there and then. I fab straight guys and send the odd msg, if they are in great shape and it's obvious it takes effort. Only ever meant as a compliment and not a come on. We are all humans and don't wanna be treated like meat (all the time) so a bit of respect for each other tends to go an awful long way

The main trait that seems to be missing with most people on fab is manners ...

Not brushing everyone with the same brush .. there is the 20% who are genuine have manners respect and the right attitude ...

I think they ignore the profiles because of the amount of messages gay guys receive from "straight" guys. Its probably worth their while chancing their arm. I've gotten similar messages from guys with straight written on profile and when asked they said "oh I'm bi"

So it's not hard to understand why gay guys both the ones that are open about being gay and the straight on the profile type but would love some cock type Try it on with everyone.

That's a pretty accurate assumption to be fair. Only this morning I got a msg from a 'straight' guy who had the no single guys thing on his profile and he was looking for a meet. Of course his message just read 'meet now'. A bit of hello how are you would get h a lot further. So ya as a gay guy it's bloody confusing who is looking for what

Like good manners, sexuality is a spectrum (oh that's where the rainbow came from) so saying any man that has a sexual interest in another as gay, seems so narrow minded. Anyway If I was browsing profiles and came across a straight man's profile, or a MF couple profile or any profile with a good sensual picture on it I would fab it.

This is nothing todo with trying to get off with them it's just showing appreciation for them sharing a good picture. It has been interesting to see "straight" men come out to you after fabbing a picture and saying they are really bi. Despite that I don't think it's ever evolved into a meet.

The annoying part for most people are the pests with no social or sexual skills that can't string a sentence together and think everyone is there fuck toy. These people are the scourge of most decent people regardless of sexuality. And envariably have to be filtered out often at the risk of missing a connection with a genuine person.

That something else that's grinds my gears.

The expectation that every guy needs to be a poet. And has to write the most detailed opening introduction messages. When was the last time you meet someone new in a pub,in a coffee shop and talked a lot to someone with out knowing much about them.

I'm here looking for a conversation that will hopefully lead to more. Not a monologue.

It's a two way street. I may only give the two line opening message. The classic. "Hi how are you" but that's because a lot of the time I have nothing to go on.

Hopefully not moving too far from the op initial post, but agree with the above.

I know I always use manners when messaging people and put the effort in, 80% of the time nothing back but I accept it and move on, the whole 80/20 rule, I'm happy doing that and if someone is happy sending 20 messages a day saying do you want to fuck now and only gets one reply out of that approach then fair play to them it's their choice,

They aren't responsible for how you react to a a message, its up to you to set your own emotional filters and move on.

This site has so many different people on here that when you join you have to expect everything and anything, in the real world this is just like a shop, you will have all sorts walk through your door, from shop lifters to people with no money and no intention of buying anything and so on but the shop keeper can't focus on all the bad parts otherwise he would close up shop, focus on the positives and I'm sure Fab will become a better place for you
