Good morning and happy Xmas Eve to all

As we plan our first encounter, the issue of shaving has come up between myself and Juliana. We both like a completely clear pubic area, to the point where it looks a bit odd to us when we see pubic hair (which is, I'm sure, wrong in many ways!). It seems to us that our enjoyment of another naked body could be impaired by our tastes cultured from our own shaving practices over a number of years.

So, our question is this - do most people shave completely, mostly, or go 'au naturelle'?

Is it something that others have had an issue with?

Personally I like completely shaved .. and the guy to be clean shaved too ...

More hygienic... the danger of getting a public hair in your mouth is less... I also find the sex more intense ...

We definitely like the hygiene and lack of hair in the teeth

And yes, better genital contact = intensity imho

Hmmm? Right now I like a bit of trim above but shaved nads, the completely bald look can look a bit odd.

Me? I'm happy to oblige - buzz, landing strip, smooth above, but smooth below.

The best is to address your preference with your potential meet partners to avoid any surprises. I don't think it's a big deal, most peeps on here shave.

Regarding intensity I had to say it made me laugh what a lot of rubbish!

dunno who invented this fad for plucked chicken look and decided it was the one true way to be. If a bit of hair causes ya that much anguish I suggest a chat with a psychotherapist to get to the root of your self loathing .

I don't get it either. It's only a bit of hair and it's supposed to be there. It's not unhygenic. In fact theres studies that say people who have no public hair are more likely to contract a STI.

It's all about your preference. I personally like a well manicured guy. No hair to me just seems a bit.... young.

And if I'm really enjoying myself with someone trust me the last thing I'm thinking about is pubic hair.

Its shaved & tightly trimmed for me all the way. Everyone has their own taste but for me the natural way really does not do it for me at all. For someone that loves exploring the deepest darkest corners of the Universe "if you know what I mean" really doesn't want to be picking hairs out of their teeth for two hours after. And (redunicorn)is spot on, sex is way more intense..

Nothing wrong with pubes at all, but god almighty keep them trimmed.. of course the sex can be intense but i love the oral side and i just find it takes a lot of the intensity away for me..

A lot of men prefer women to have pubes. It's YOUR preference to have bald. So why the need to tell women to keep them trimmed? If you don't like it then don't meet women who prefer not to.

Not necessarily, it could just be a preference ... It's interesting to contemplate whether porn caused a trend for shaving, or if it happened in porn as a mirror of the world outside .. i tend to think the latter, that porn essentially holds up a mirror to 'real' sex .. I'm sure you are right that there are plenty of people who watch to much porn, however

Yet again the perception that you are unhygienic if you dare to have any bodily hair. I do agree with the idea that porn is linked to this way of thinking, my earliest memories of porn are of more hair the better. Thank god the music has improved too.

I prefer shaved but if a lady does not shave well I would not say no . Just sometimes u end up spitting out pieces of hair from ur mouth . I had a lady who did not shave n did not bodar me . So each to their own .

I've shaved before but now I just trim. Prefer some hair on ladies but completely shaved/waxed wouldn't turn me off either. As someone said earlier, if I've gotten to that stage, I'm not likely too concerned either way.

Have always been smooth underneath but trimmed at the front cos I quite dislike the bald babylike look and if the potential playmate didn't like any hair then we didn't meet.

However this year the epilator came into use all over for the holidays just for the curiosity of it. It was fine for the holidays but seriously can't be bothered maintaining it forever. It just goes against all my feelings and love for a natural normal body. Nicely groomed is still my preference.
