Year is coming to an end

Let's remember the good times

The not so good times

What we have achieved

What we've overcome

Let's give thanks we are still alive and kicking

Let's enjoy our family and friends

Life is short

I'll hold off the thankful I'm still alive bit - knowing my luck I could pop me clogs next week.

But I get the sentiment

"We take Alot of things for granted "

Very true!

We remember the negative stuff and forget all the positive things that happen

I for one hope for a better 2017.

I get hugely sentimental/nostalgic at this time of year. Anything could get the tears rolling - which is a surprise to anyone that knows me!

And then I think sensibly. I have family I love - and that I know love me. I have a roof over my head and a freezer full of food, if I were any sort of a cook I'd have said cupboards.

I am lucky enough to be 57 and still have two healthy parents and a new grandchild on the way .... for anyone that remembers my post 7 months ago saying no. 3 is on the way - I'm off to Aus in Feb to await his arrival - as are the aforementioned parents I thank the Credit Union.

I don't live in a mansion, I don't have a car, I don't even have a fancy phone. But as a non religious person, I feel blessed.

Roll on 2017 - tho 2016 - you were pretty good too

You are rich in life and what matters.

You're off on the holiday of a lifetime and you get a present arriving shortly after you get there.

The material, obvious stuff is irrelevant when you think about what you do have and forget about what others make you think you need.

You have all you need and more. You are a happy, loving, considerate woman and we're glad you are a part of Fab (where some other needs may be satisfied!)

Happy Christmas and happy new grandchild and happy Holidays to a wonderful lady.

I almost cut and paste that to PM but F it, I am not ashamed to say it publicly. Ye all know my opinion on open forums.

Happiest 2017 LonCav

2016 has been a huge challenge

Sold house.

Moved in with now ex bf briefly ( turned into a nightmare)

2 house sales fell through

Finally bought house

New car

Redecorated whole house

Broke up with bf

Celebrated my anniversary of divorce

But the 2 things constant in my life

My son is happy and I have true friends who stick by me no matter what

I have Alot to be thankful for
