There should be a drain cock near ur heating appliance or maybe on a rad near the front or back door. Tie up the ball cock in the small tank and drain the system trough the drain cock once the water stops coming close the ball cock add the leak sealer to the tank and release the ball cock. Vent all the rads to ensure they are full and run the heating system as normal, The sealer finds the leaks comes in contact with the air and hardens sealing the leaks

"Exactly big spill all over the house place wrecked for Xmas would dry it out till next year No one has even asked is it a sealed system or what .. He goes open valves asking for trouble !! Best thing he could do is get some jointing compound while rads are off push into leaks (temp measure) an let it set . And then ring the professional for a dry house for Xmas " ya reckon if i get some boss whitw and rub in to the rad valve where the leak ia will work

Get an adjustable spanner and tighten it easily. Clockwise is the direction you tighten it

"Plumb7 is akin to putting a cracked egg in your cars radiator to stop a leak....does nothing but cause you more trouble down the road. More than likely all you have to do is get an adjustable spanner and nip up the nuts a little more. " nipping your nuts could lead massive touble down the road
