Yes I send cards every year. And there is always someone I forgot until I receive their card on Christmas Eve.

I send Xmas cards to my family even though i spend most of xmas and new year with them.I post cards abroad too, to friends in the USA and Austrailia. It was a chore to do a few years ago but now I look upon it as a nice gesture and worth the effort. I get them in return too and have a card holder on the wall. Call me old fashioned but i love it

If I want to keep in touch with people I do it during the year via phone calls or actually meeting. A once-a-year card is meaningless to me.

I do try and text people but it's hard to get time to meet up.

Should I stop - do you think it annoys people when I don't see them often?!

Ah a card holder is a good idea - it's more personal to sit down and write than just do it via Facebook isn't it?

A wise old man once said to me "if you really want to do something, nothing will stop you, if you don't want to do it, it won't take you long to find an excuse".

I have no idea how your friends feel about it, maybe you should ask next time you see them

Course it is and although you might miss friends who live far away and stay in touch with throughout the year, its a personal touch. Theres some things that shouldnt be forgotten about, and thats to let those know that you might not see them at xmas, but youre thinking about them no matter where they are.

I gave up sending 2 or 3 years ago. Most of my cards were being sent abroad and it was costing a fortune.

I now donate to the local dogs home instead.
