To tree or not to tree ??

Not wanting to spread Bah Humbug but I haven't put up a Christmas tree yet and will be working very long hours in the run up to the 25th.

I'll be socialising away from home over Christmas and New Year and being single don't see the point of decorating the house or putting up a tree..

Am I missing / not feeling the Christmas spirit ??

I won't be having one either this year, similar reasons to you. First time ever, I'll miss it but not enough to justify putting one up either very early in December or for a few days.

Before having kids, it wouldn't even have occurred to me to put up a tree, after they've moved out, it won't ever happen again.

I wouldn't bother putting a tree or decorations up if I lived alone or wasn't going to be there

well, not putting it up, as it's 10ft, or putting the lights on. Decorations are wife and kids role but looks brilliant when done. Happy to have it up. Ahem!

Just curious, why do you put up the tree that early??? By the time you reach Christmas, it lost all it's needles and you've a naked tree in your house!

Ah just put up a little one op, one that sits on ur fireplace or kitchen table. I dread putting up all my decorations but once they're up its then I start to get into the Xmas spirit.
