Following on from numerous body image threads.

Id be interested to know if all the peeps who claim that body image doesnt matter would meet someone without having seen pics etc. First.

Assuming several conversations have taken place and this person has a beautiful personality etc.

Personally we wouldnt as looks ARE important to us.

Hard to say, obviously you'd wanna know what the person you're meeting looks like but it's always a bit risky sending face pics too so I do understand why some people don't want to send them.

We don't send face pics but arrange a social meet. If after social meet both parties are happy a fun night is arranged. That's just our way

.... i insist on a face pic now ..the 1 and only meet i went on without seeing a pic turned put to be a guy i knew who i would never have met if id known it was him ..

How would you know who you were meeting if you don't see them? Knowing my luck I'd end up with some randomer.. you have to at least see them so you'll recognise them

That actually happened to me. I spent an hour with the wrong person. Long story.

And I still meet for coffee sometimes without seeing/sending face pics.

We don't send face pics...chat, social meet, and if all goes well arrange play date.....you can always tell who your meeting what you will be wearing not a big issue also as you will have exchanged numbers its easy text

And you can actually get people to meet you without knowing what you look like?

Its a pretty big issue for me. Chances are if they won't send a face pic they've something to hide. Do they send you pics before they meet you?

I've done it once. Didn't turn out too badly. Was agreed though before we met if either wasn't happy/attracted there would be nothing more than a chat.

I wouldnt meet without seeing face pic before meet! For me its seems waste of time! I like see who I might meet and if very not like what I see I just say sorry not for me.. not go wondering who is them and waste time..

If people so afraid send face pic on site they always can use kik photo bomb

If I chatted with them and got on well or felt we'd enjoy each others company then I'd have no problem with it.

Just because you see a persons picture doesn't mean you'll be attracted to them in person anyway so I don't put a huge amount of value into a face pick either.

I'd actually be bricking meeting someone I'd not seen a picture of and vice a versa,.....at least if the see a picture of me they have a idea and if so decline. Imagine them bolting out of a coffee meet I'd be scarlet

I normally do exchange face pics before. I did meet twice without a face pic beforehand. One was an excellent meet, one was a non goer but it wasn't because of his looks. I always meet on neutral ground so that a little back door is open if things don't work out.

Majority of people wouldn't meet without seeing pics first but don't think proves what you would like it to prove. Wanting to see pics proves that looks are important, of course they are. Physical attraction is important but it's only one element of a well decorated tree (thought a Xmas theme would be apt) where as some people might have body image as the angel on top with fuck all underneath

I've done this several times, and had nothing but great meets...and it adds a lovely dimension of not having any pre-conceived ideas, and builds a great sense of anticipation. Thoroughly recommended, but sadly there seems to be a shortage of ladies around here who are up for meeting like this.

Yes we can ...a few ppl asked for face pics but we just refer them to our profile as at the very top it states we don't send....have never found it a issue...some ppl send face pics before we meet but that's their choice as we never ask..

I got invited to join some friends I met on here (a couple) in a hotel once. They had arranged to meet another couple and had asked me to join them. I met my friends in their room and we decided to go down stairs to the bar, get a drink and meet this other couple. At the bar, being the gentleman I am, I got the drinks in. The male half of the my friends said to me "I think that's that other couple sitting down over there, I'm gonna go over and say hi" He walked confidently over to the table, shock the guys hand leant in and said "Hi Im such and such from "insert fab user name" are you guys "insert fab user name"

They said "Huhhhh, what???? No"

I never laughed so much in my life, I was even a bit scarlet for him...

So yes, maybe face pics are a good idea

I had an experience where I was texting someone over a period of time. We shared pics and videos and stories etc but had not spoken on phone so never heard each others voice. She said it would be cool if she came over and we spent some hours together doing what ever we wanted and not a single word said.. we did it and next morning made her breakfast in bed.. she got up, showered and left. When my full profile was written, and before I took it down to take a bit of a break away from this mad place, the first line was a disclaimer...'hot male' is a great attention getter, but you need to make your own mind up. Had a selection of photos up, and happy to send face pics on request

I have no issue in meeting someone for the first time blind as i always have a vanilla coffee meet first. Have done it several times and sometimes i fancy them and sometimes i dont.

Have met some beautiful looking girls but had no spark with them so it never went further but thats life and noting ventured nothing gained. For me its about the spark and you cant know if thats there unless you face to face.

And often a selfie wont do the person justice and they may well be better looking in the flesh and experience has taught me that you cannot depend on peoples pictures in here as they can be photoshopped or several years old in some cases.

Know looks aren't everything but you have to be attracted to the person/persons before a first meet. Although you can get a feeling on the personality by mail, we wouldn't consider meeting without face pictures and honestly wouldn't meet after if there wasn't an attraction.

Drove a fair distance last year for a meet with a guy and we'd never exchanged pics. I'd got it in my head that it was someone I already knew....too many coincidences, the way he spoke through text, sense of humour. Turned up and it wasn't him....and was totally not what I expected. Even the way he spoke when we met was different from the way he texted. Never again

I prefer no pics as I like the surprise BUT I did get the address wrong once and it was a shock for all involved. Luckily it turned out as an ENJOYABLE shock for all involved!
