Oddly there's another guy over 60 who took 10 years off his age posting regularly on the forums about how messers spoil it "for the rest of us "

I kinda agree once you are at that age it's not hugely important except that if you are that insecure as to lie about your age what other character flaws do you have?

People will either meet because of you you are or not. At this stage in your life it's about time these guys learned that

I don't think it has anything to do with insecurness. Most women/couple have an upper age limit and more mature men are simply trying to widen the spectrum by pretending they're younger. Now I'm not saying that's the way to go or that it works but hey this is fab and nothing is impossible.

Whatever the argument about original post, I do believe that a guy on here in, say, late 50's, is seem as "over the hill".. Its very few profiles that you can send a mail to... And in fairness the inbox is pretty quiet!

That saying, have made some genuine friends here, so count myself lucky...

I'm outside the age bracket of a few women on this site. I can't imagine the level of desperation I'd need to reach for me to lie about my age just so I can message them.

Wouldn't lie about age on here. I've many other things to lie about but a pic tells a thousand words, so no point.

Anyone that lies about anything means people will be suspect about everything else in their profile, or what they say, so what's the point?

Honesty is the best policy and accept whatever others think/believe but you'll know that you have not lied, which should bring a certain confidence when/if a meet does happen.

Sorry, I'm in waffle mode!
