It's stupid, greedy and horrible commercialism/consumerism and it should be forbidden. Why do we have to copy every shit that comes from the USA?

Two ways if looking at this. It's definitely an in your face marketing ploy, we can all agree to that. But use it to your advantage, the last two years I have wanted a new DSLR and Garmin bike trscker. Both I just saved in my wish lists and on the camera which detailed at over €1000 I got for €710. The Garmin unit had %40 off. In total that was almost €500 saved on items i have been putting money away for.

If you don't spend money you dont have on crap you don't need then it's not an issue really. That said I do have a pain in my ass deleting black Friday emails every five minutes

I've just bought some new sexy lingerie and new toys. A few I would never have bought because I'm in two minds about how enjoyable I'll find them. With the 50% reduction I'm happy to find out.

Apart from that I can't be bothered about black Friday.

Its a marketing ploy by retailers to get you to spend your hard earned saved cash before christmas because they know come the january sales you will already have spent a lot or all of it. So as other posters have said if your looking for something special for yourself or as a christmas present grab it now as it maybe dearer in a weeks time when you intend doing christmas shoping.

Lovehoney may be the one that was not mentioned earlier for the toys and underwear but not 100% sure.

Got the Kindle Fire for kids at £40 for 16gb version, unless they reduce the real kids one down from £95, which will make the first one a parent tablet

Oral B toothbrush for £15 as well. All from Amazon.

Anyone buying home cinema or hi-fi gear, check Richer Sounds before buying anywhere else. They give 6yr warranty and will deliver south if you buy from Belfast store. They're really good guys and any of that gear I've bought in last 10yrs, they couldn't be beaten
