As a couple who are very new to the whole scene we based who we talked to on their verifications. It's really disheartening to hear that well known members would verify people like that. You would have to wonder why they do it when it puts the rest of us at risk

Good point but just thinking if someone is found out to be sending fake pics maybe admin or other fabbers can contact the verified profiles on their profile and they can make choice to leave verification there or block profile so can't use there verification. Just a thought

They did see him/meet him and they are not to blame. I don't for one second think this is a case of false verification. One was for cam she confirmed he was a man and not much else. The second for a coffee meet saying he was a nice person. I didn't get he's gorgeous and can't wait to see him again vibes. When I seen the face pic I thought why not till I searched the image and found Ben Foster the actor staring back.

But loads of peeps don't really seem to have a radar for it or don't care, simply recalling that 'sorry Mike' pic that was fabbed in the hundreds and it took quite a while until peeps copped on...

It's poor form making up fake profiles with fake pics but they do end up being caught out fairly quickly and admin are fairly swift at removing them. The sorry Mike photo was a perfect example, it got fabbed hundreds of times yet a simple search would have shown it was fake. Good point DH, do some members not even care? I guess only the ones actively looking to meet in person do.

It's very strange sending a fake face pic though after being verified as genuine.

I've noticed this is happening a lot. I do this trail and it is common enough. All veris are done on these new profiles within six hours. I wouldn't mind admin closing fab down for a few hours and going through the profiles and getting rid of them. This wasn't so common 8 months ago when I had my old profile.

I've had pictures stolen from my profile and used by fake to set up profile surely the admin can spot this as they go through pics that are allowed I know it's a long shot because of the amount of pics they have to go through so only way is to keep them private plus 2minute profile and its verified by someone 1000s of miles away through a meet very suspicious indeed

Have to say my head is melted trying to follow Lolli's verification trail but I suppose needs must to sort out the wankers.

Unfortunately I don't have that problem. My pics are totally genuine and obviously not photoshopped or stolen. I mean who would, right?

I fully support anyone reporting fakes and naming/shaming them. Seems to work if you do it in Status Update rather than forum too but I guess that could lead us down a dangerous path.

I'm not on here very long . I got chathing to one guy whow sent his face photo . We arranged a coffee meet . I asked a friend of mine to b around just as well I did as he was not the person in his photos . It almost turned me off fab.
