any body here know anything about knees , it's just swelled up , did small run yesterday, didn't hurt it but this morning up like a ballon, .

Difficult to know. Either way, get some ice on it today and then Physio tomorrow.

Unfortunately not a doctor so that's a out as I I know about the knee other than pushing them up to the ears in certain positions

Rice...

As in rest, ice, compression, elevation. Maybe a few ibuprofen. About all you can do. My left knee swells constantly. Wear and tear from years of football

Known as Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome. It just depends where the pain is, over the knee,under the knee etc. Icing and a foam roller will ease the swelling and try some Kinesiology Tape for support. If the pain or swelling persists, go to see a physio as you might need Gait analysis and custom orthotics inside your running shoes.

Would you run often?? Road running would do that to me and 3g pitches goes away after a day or 2 of it persists get to the pyhsio

Am in the fitness game Karen. Sounds like the build up of some fluid around the knee joint (knee joint effusion). For starters, elevate your leg, some pressure on the knee by wrapping it up snug and a little tight in a towel and literally put your feet up and take it handy tonight...

Knee pain is usually coming from ankle mobility or Glute issue. Hence if they don't work properly knee takes all the effort.

I would suggest try walk bare foot as much as possible. Stay out of big spongy runners (asics) as much as you can they give you relief but don't address the issue

Get a foam roller work tightness out of ankle and glutes with this. Warm up properly before going for a run. Get resistance bands to stretch the ankles and hip flexors then fire up the glutes

YouTube videos of Kelly Starrett will help for your stretches not old school static Stretches.

Do all these before running to elverys or physio who are on commission to sell orthotics

Best advice here. It's inflammation. Rest a few days and try a couple of handy miles then see how it fairs out. Avoid using heat on it.
