Phone/laptop help grrrr

So I was uploading photos from my phone to laptop . At the end of upload it said delete uploaded pics from your device so I clicked agree .... but now all my photos are gone off phone even the ones I hadn't selected and there is none on laptop helllpppp

I have all syncing turned off so they aren't in a cloud etc

If is an android phone and they were on an sd card you can take it out and use recovery software like recuva to get them back.
