No point in faking. I did that when I was in my teens or early twenties.

I'd say most likely you both will notice if your play partner is attentive. Then it's just a question of winding it up elegantly.

Should your play partner not realise then there's a few ways of tactfully retiring before the game becomes a pain.

Give/ask for direction from your play partner. Bring toys to help. Otherwise it's a wasted hotel room and nobody smiling. Gotta try your best and, personally, I would probably have asked the lady well in advance what she likes or what gets her off most.

Well never happened to me. But then again the ladies that like me seem to want me to "rune" them as was frequently requested lol.

But I think it's more a problem that ladies encounter. But in that case I see nothing wrong in saying, stall the digger there you are in the wrong parish, and tell and show them what does it for you, I'm sure they would be grateful and the ladies they meet in the future would be even more grateful, after all there are not many if us rugged windswept and interesting sex gods out there ha ha
