Just got an invite to a party and the organiser was levying a charge which was reasonable to cover their costs.

....i always thought it was cheaper for single females than couples..with single males paying the most?

I think it's done to entice single females to attend as historically they are lower in numbers - personally I don't agree with doing it that way as in order to cover costs I need to know how many are attending and the easiest way to do that is to charge per head. That's my finance head on though

I'd say men might pay a bit more for a ticket but women spend a lot more getting there makeup clothes eyc

I think it should be per head too. Regardless of gender

But as was said - its lower for ladies to get them there

Niteclubs have always had a policy of ladies free in....or a concession price up to a certain time, note laodes in the club....then more guys in too

....sorry if this sounds a bit harsh. ....but unless single guys are vetted....and if that means charging them more, and insisting on them being party verified. ....single females and couples will be reluctant to attend. .that's just our take on it of course. ..

Supply and demand etc. The equality part of me doesn't like it while the Economist in me can understand why. I guess I'll just have to stay on the fence for this one.

Although the idea that charging me more money will equal them being "safer" doesn't make any sense.

Am sure the Ladies on here aren't to concerned about how much others have to pay into a party once they and the people they get chatting to are having fun and event runs smoothly,, no more than the guys would care how much the ladies were charged in,,, each look after their own pockets and their own wellbeing and enjoy the site and the parties if they choose to go to them as it should be
