As soon as the videos start appearing of them having the shit kicked out of them, it'll die down.

Wonderfully creepy though.

Theyre not harmless if theyre terrorising kids at their schools its gone beyond it being a prank, theyre carrying knives and macchetes. I dunno where you see the humour in this! its like a real life version of Stephen Kings " IT"

Or wait for the remake that's coming out soon, if only they had a way to get hold of some hysterical cheap publicity stunt.

There was an armed response from the police up in Ballymoney yesterday after verbal threats to a school.

If you threaten & scare people's children, it won't be long before they won't stand for it anymore. I'm not condoning vigilantism but it wouldn't surprise me. Hopefully it won't come to this.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space is a great film!! Loved it when it first came out, still just as good now. There's rumours of a 3D sequel. There's also Stitches, another great clown film. Or the Last Circus.

I've a bugging feeling I'm forgetting one but just can't think. There's a great French short film,

You're talking about vigilantism regarding a largely made up phenomenon.

Very much happening round here so it's not a none story. In fact my Police Officer friend has just finished a night shift and the majority of that was taken up with clow related stuff. It's not just kids neither something a bit sinister about it.

I just overheard them in the canteen so have no idea if they are regular vigilantes, I imagine its just banter. But will let you know next what their clown count was if they are in work and disclose hope they have some pic's of their quarry to back them up tho lol...

.

Yeah reports of incidents? Read every news report and they reference that the phenomenon could be on its way here. Very little actual events. Actually read what's being reported and you'll see it largely a media/social media phenomenon. Very little real world consequences. But hey whatever it takes to distract from the fact that life can be rather dull and ultimately meaningless lol. Go for it!!

Hysteria is mental. I was doing a landscaping job in a supermarket car park just across the road from a school a few years ago when two patrol cars with three Gardaí in each showed up. They had received numerous reports of two men in a van parked opposite the school gates. Apparently the two men were acting extra suspiciously at lunchtime by sitting in the van pretending to be having lunch. I kid you not. I think people spend far too much time watching American TV shows that hype up stuff line that and far too little time thinking about reality. I realise that some people have a phobia of clowns but an awful lot of people get caught up in the hype. So you got a fright because you saw someone dressed as a clown? Big deal.
