curious as to whether people have ever used this for meets, to host parties, etc..?

Better experiences than in a hotel?

Hi folks,

Would be a little careful before using Airbnb for hosting meets and parties.

While some places are full time lets, and are no more risky than using a normal hotel or apt (in terms of damage or complaints). A lot of Airbnb hosts live in the place and will leave a lot of their personal belongings easily accessible. If anything happens to them, damage, theft, etc, then you as the guest will be financially liable (Airbnb will have your card details). Airbnb take a very strict approach to complaints from hosts.

Unless you're very familiar with all the people you're meeting, you may be better hiring a hotel or apartment.

Thanks pleasure orbit, never considered that aspect...especially if things got a bit wild with bodies moving around
