Personality / appearance turn off?

Ok hands up ppl. How many of you have been totally won over by how nice a person was etc but when you saw them in person there was no physical attraction? Or perhaps the opposite you may have met someone purely out of lust for how sexy they looked but upon meeting thought there personality sucked?

Elaborate guys. If for example you were mad about someone based on their personality and then there was no physical attraction when you met then how did you deal with it? The other person naturally was expecting things to go well i imagine

A bad personality would turn me off meeting a hot looking person. I've walked away from meets because of the personality.

You wouldn't believe how often it happens. I actually thought i was ok lookin until i joined this site lol Some women will actually block you for making an effort. I don't bother anymore. I was advised to send women long messages when i first joined and it is total rubbish. Ppl wonder then why some guys have an attitude here

Anyways it's almost impossible to get a good pic of yourself. Selfies result in double chins or screwed up faces. A lovely lady told me one night on a social night that my pics made me look way more horrible than I actually do. Lol.

We should do a glamour photo shoot for the men so we all have gleaming face pics. Who wants to do be the photographer.

I was ditched by a girl here before because although she liked me. I wasn't "sporty" enough for her. Anyway we better suck it up before violins are played for us lol

I think I'm ok looking but on a couple of occasions I've been asked for face pics, have obliged and heard nothing more from the person making the request. Which did kinda make me go 'ouch' but I guess everyone has their own tastes and preferences.

I'd probably opt for personality over looks everytime. Have ended social meets with very hot women, because of their arrogance. Which would turn me off someone, quicker than a politician running to vote on a pay rise. I don't think I've ever met anyone that physically could have the same affect.

I think after being here so long I wouldn't make a decision about anyone until I met them in person. Pics can lie, and also people can be great conversationalists on text and not in person. So I've learnt to never agree to play with someone until we've met in person and both parties are happy!

I'll often make an effort with a long opening message and all i get back is "send a face pic or i won't reply" and then i send one n get blocked or if iam lucky she might send one r two replies before never even bothering to open the 3rd and on she goes to the next guy. Wish i was a woman here lol

I don't think people always mean to be rude when they block after seeing a face pic.

Theres a sort of panic when its realised the person isn't for you.

Some people find it easier to block than to explain.

Doesn't mean the sender is ugly - just not for them

I don't bother much anymore meeting and what's not. But it was in the forums and the chat rooms I made my impression last time I was here. Fab isnt for the faint of heart and put it this way. How many times does a profile get viewed on pof and no one messages you. Can't float everyone's boat that's just life

So at the start I used to reply back and say sorry not my type. ... then u get replys questioning your type ...what is your type ...would you nit try me. .I'll make u wet.. etc etc etc etc. .... then they get abusive. .Some .not all

So it's easier to block sometimes. ..

I chat to anyone that messages me too (mostly). The problem with that is that they think it will end in sex even if you tell them right at the start that we're not a match

Well take a look at the status on some profiles. There is one for instance up right now. It's horrible nasty and vicious. The problem with these posts is they simply shine a light on the darkness inside some folk. Far more unattractive than anything physical
