FabSwingers.com forum: What constitutes a permanent ban?

I was looking for this in the t&cs but couldn't find it.

There are 48 hour bans etc but when do admin make it permanent? Is it due to several bans or just when a certain line is crossed?

FAB don't respond when you message them so it's hard to know where the line is drawn.

It's usually if you continually get bans or if "they" think your contribution to the forums is not fab family friendly

I only know of 4 peeps that have received the red card

on other sites bans are progressive eg 1 day 1 week 1 month and permanent , this site is different ,no progressive ban mechanism,but as far as i know , if your in danger of being permanently banned , the last ban you received will state clearly your on your last chance . A high number of reports about you will escalate a permaban quickerthan a few slaps for being bold on the forums .

I've wondered that before, I thought they weren't allowed use the forums to interact with you at all, but I saw someone post one day that they aren't allowed use the forums to ask you why they were blocked or ask you to unblock or pm them. I'd like to know the answer to that one!

If you think someone has rejoined who was on a permanent ban you can report them to administration and they can track the ip address....

Been here over 5yrs and using the same profile since joining...

Had a few just deserved timeouts and a few I thought may have been unfair, but I just do my time!

Fab is just amazing...

I taught that too lolli and see it as a problem here that once you block somebody they can follow you on the forums making silly comments everytime you post. I just ignore cos they're just trying to cause trouble and get others banned.

To be fair, if people were prevented from that, it would mean that others could say absolutely anything they wanted about someone knowing that they couldn't respond. As long as the responses are within the rules I personally see no problem with it whatsoever. Censorship sucks.

Unfortunately yes....as with most things little is what it seems on here. It would be a good fetuses if blocking actually meant blocked. I just don't think they liked the idea that 50% of fabbers would communicate on forums then....maybe they thought they'd kiss and make up....lol fat chance I'd say.

In fairness some use the block button as a deselect tool therefore the blocked peeps might not even be aware that they are blocked. Also the forum would be soon empty with only a few fab dictators left blocking and censuring....

True enough....but it wouldn't be difficult for fab to let others know they've been blocked via forum posting. ...people already know if they try to message or look at their profile...so it would work the same way.

It can be either of the above.

For the people who say " it is worth a ban " and break forum rules, it may not be if you have already totted up a few, especially for the same thing over and over.

Anyone can report you, but you have had to have broken rules by what you write on the forum before you get a ban.

No they're not, they can post on a thread you may have created but are not allowed to use the forum to contact you directly in any way"

They can.

Anyone can post on anyones posts. What you can't do is ask that person to unblock you/ put you on the spot about blocks or be a pest.

Sometimes it is best just to ignore each other. If you ask that person on a thread to not converse with you, mods can keep an eye.

Don't forget there are a few rules that people on the posts removed obviously havn't read yet. Maybe it would be wise for people to read the rules on this link before posting again.

It also isn't woth blaming mods for something you write or for you breaking those rules, if you think the rules are wrong you can give feedback to the people who set them from the CONTACT button.
