A place to drink, temple bar

You can visit the Guinness factory and Jameson distillery.

For shopping, grafton street or Jervis street. Brown thomas and Arnott's are the biggest shop on there. If you have sometime, maybe a spin to Kildare for outlet shopping but it's 40mn from Dublin.

A pint of Guinness and a toasted special sitting outside Grogans pub on South William Street watching the world go by. One of the last institutions left in the city.

Temple Bar can be very expensive and a mad house at the weekend. Have a little stroll and there are plenty of good pubs, lively late bars.. etc. Always a good idea to ask the hotel receptionist for advice. They can steer you clear of the tourist traps.

Dublin is a lot more than Guinness and temple bat there are loads of lovely restaurants and cocktail bars. My only advice would be maybe Google alternative Dublin? It's a tiny city, but its so easy to get around. Temple bar really isn't Dublin sorry

Stay out of Temple Bar, like J&J said, Dublin ain't that big, literally just outside and across the road, you've got George's St, Camden St, Hardcourt St and all the intersecting areas including South William St Thats were all the real craic is

As a tourist you can't avoid the temple bar area .... It's not as bad as some might say .... The buzz is great day and night but As a few have said the prices can be high and do rise as the night gets longer .... Camden steet has 2/3 cracking live music pubs and the next street over is Coppers!!! I don't like it but I'm sure you'd have a blast .... Everleigh gardens is a few doors down way better class spot ..... But if you end your night around here you'll have a blast x
