What the hell is going on in America. I thought trump would run off steam before this but it looks increasingly likely he is going to get to be president. If he does the world is FUCKED.

I think Hilary Clintons " basket of deplorables" comment did her no favours. She was sliding down the polls fast with the e mail scandal from when she was secretary of state as it was. her ill health today and reports of pneumonia arent going to help her when the anti christ is there waiting to swoop and watch her fall. If hes elected as president ,armaggeddon will follow.

Does no one else feel the democrats are just playing a shrewd game and waiting till the last couple of weeks to truly destroy trumps policies and hypocrisy...its then the greatest impact will present itself,vast majority of Americans are not Mensa candidates unfortunately and feeding them education now would be wasted in the long run in?

Not a fan of his at all but Clinton is just as bad in other ways. I there's a part of me that wants Trump in...

1. It'll shake up the pathetic way so much of American politics is done.

2. It'll cause real goid Americans to come out of the woodwork and say we need to redress this.

3. America will be put back in its place by the rest of the world.

4. It'll wake up the rest of the sleeping world that thinks the west is best.

There's an element of it in Brexit. ...its clean up British politics. ..cleaned out the chaff and making good changes that apathy and status quo overlooked for decades.

Trump won't last long in power but ill be long enough to waken people up.

Read all the Brexit posts....so many thought it was the demise of everything good...UK would collapse...lawlessness would happen as migrants would be targeted everywhere....We'd all be loosing our jobs, homes, standard of living would plummet, and we'd never get any trade deals with Europe and the world.... ..quite the opposite. ...and ill be first the put hand up i wanted Brexit from moment it was suggested...

yes there's a new world order in the making but it's not as catastrophic as so many would like us to believe. They just live in their own little world.

Brexit aside...many americans feel they have been ignored by the past governments and as such have little to lose by voting trump in,a vote is a dangerous thing...so do they vote for more of the same or do they vote for the crazy guy challenging the existing establishment.

Trump is a media machine,regardless of how the election goes he has won madsive publicity from this campaign.

So, Why hasn't the present Democrat President done them?? why is US in such a state??

The initial scare mongering of sterling collapse and economy collapse was total bull from those who never wondered why the world's financial centre is in London and will probably never move for many reasons not least the institutions are so conservative against change and secondly they couldn't all agree to move en mass to an agreed centre. I'm still open to finding out what it is that will be so negative about Brexit. There's too many current and future positives for it to have not to have happened. It should have happened years ago IMO.

well I'm impressed by your psychic abilities when the vast majority of economic think tanks especially those representing the London financial sector(the likes of thecityuk one of its main lobby groups) accept the logical thing for major firms is to relocate some of not all their operations to a single market nation.simple truth is we could go at this all day Midas but it's a wait and see scenario...I actually never read an educated view point saying there would be a sterling or economic collapse,a knee jerk reaction yes but a collapse no.

There were a few around and even the economist got things wrong. There is no such thing as a single market...even the EU isn't a single market...they all have their own different taxes from corporate, business, employment and VAT. They all trade outside of the EU and make their own deals. There is no such thing as a single market...its the biggest lie the EU has tried to push.

When it's triggered the financial systems will all know what's been put in place...even the new trade deals with the east. There will be little unknown which will cause any real issues. I'd be more concerned with what will happen to the EU as there are others doing their homework on leaving it. Italy is on the brink of economic collapse as are a couple others....the EU can't prop them up without devastating consequences. ...but it's all speculation as you say...

Germany and France are both due general elections before Brexit terms are agreed. Italy France and Germany all have large anti EU support and the whole of the block is propped up by the German economy and a Central Bank with negative interest rates. The EU is not a free trade area it is a protectionist zone which restricts access to free trade to protect the EU economies something it has failed dismally at Greece Ireland Spain and Italy all bear witness to that. Even the US via the TTIP negotiations is trying to dictate terms to the EU which is why it is collapsing. Free Trade which is a 19th century English idea in its origination still does not exist and Trump's Mexico wall is just another example of the protectionist agenda of the 1920's which have lead to WW2.

China own chunks of US debt and the global powers have less power than many corporates Facebook amazon Google and big pharma etc.

Does anyone think Trump can book the markets ... it never happens...

But electing him still feels like letting the lunatics out of the asylum in my opinion.

But the real question is not who is elected... it's what they do to effect change that means our kids don't have to leave to get work our old folk are kept safe our sick are restored and our lives are improved. Anyone think that Trump is the answer to that?
