Nothing comes close to The Quiet Man.

Although I often wondered if line "here's a nice stick to beat the lady" has some BDSM connotations.

So what makes a film "Irish"? One that is made in Ireland, about Ireland, directed by an Irishman or other? For example Saving private Ryan was filmed in part here, has an Irish (descended) main character but I wouldn't class it as an Irish film.
