I've got a beard as well. Some women love it, others just have a preference for clean shaven. If that's their preference then respect it and move on. I don't think hygiene is an issue if a beard is well groomed. I think that beards are quite popular with our generation and I get the impression that clean shaven would be the preference of most that aren't of our generation.

Problem is that some of us look like children with a clean shave. Sure, I'll be glad to still have a babyface when I'm 40 but it's just an inconvenience most of the time.

Don't shave your beard if you don't want to. Anyone worth meeting won't care if you've a beard or not. Seriously would you ask a girl to dye her hair for a meet? Don't change who you are to suit anyone here.

For obvious reasons I shave but rarely. Two weeks ago for pics I was clean shaven but pretty much every female in know said stubble suited so for today's photos the stubble is back but it really does depend on the person.

I like beard's (well groomed) and clean shaven. When a beard suits the person, it makes them hotter.

All personal preference. Op, if you like the beard keep it...be true to you and wear it with confidence.

Think it depends on beard really. If yon have and maintain a full beard, then don't shave it for anyone. If I went clean shaven for a meet, I'd be back to square one two days later. So going clean shaven doesn't bother me, I just prefer the stubble look. If I had a full beard, it wouldn't be getting shaved for anyone. Well maybe Jessica Alba but even then I'd think twice.

I'd be the same, except for the having to think twice about Jessica Alba part

I do prefer to just maintain a more fuller stubble, partly because I hate wet shaving and partly because of the babyface underneath

I have a very short beard, a bit more than stubble and I will never clean shave just for a meet. Each to their own and that but no, I like my bit of facial hair too much and hate the feel of a clean shave anyway. It won't be coming off anytime soon .

Dublin West

Beards all the rage at the moment but like the tide that will change and they wont be the rage again.

It was all designer stubble when i was in my 20s and was mulletts and moustaches before that.

Some will like them some dont. If its clean and tidy then im sure more will like you but some girls love the wild man look too.

You only have to find the right one.

I dont have the patience for a beard and i work in some strange environments where it would be an issue for me and im old enough so i am embracing my baby face now.
