Here or There

On way to work feeling down this morning, when a song came on I haven't heard in ages, sort of cheered me up a bit reminiscing about a dear friend who recently passed. Song "Born to be Wild."

What song made you smile this morning and think about someone else?

Enter sandman. It popped up on my shuffle and took me to a nice place. I really need to meet this person.

Steve Winwood - Back in the High Life Again.

It used to seem to me that my life ran on too fast

And I had to take it slowly just to make the good parts last

But when you're born to run it's so hard to just slow down

So don't be surprised to see me back in the bright part of town

I'll be back in the high life again

All the doors I closed one time will open up again

I'll be back in the high life again

All the eyes that watched me once, will smile and take me in.

Remind me of a great bunch of people I hung around with.

We grew up.

Lol.

Or did we ?????

Love on the Rocks by Neil Diamond does it for me. Reminds me of my teenage years of walking the beach at Carnlough and the things we got up to. Those were the good ole days!!

The goo goo dolls - Iris has massive meaning for me for a period in my life. Other songs remind me of people, like slide away (oasis)
