Im a very very happy and proud mother today and have a son who's over the moon with his results as he has enough points to qualify for his chosen college course!!. Onwards and upwards and well done to all

So much pressure and stress heaped on young shoulders. For no real reason, the sooner they reform this and make it more fit for purpose the better. It's great for all the kids who got what they wanted and devistating for those that didn't. Though sometimes that works out much better for those who didn't. In a years time most of these students will be thinking what was all the fuss about.

Its always good to get the kids to realise that they are a same person who sat the exams as the person they are now. Their results merely help them choose a career path which is,within their competence. They dont need to strive for better marks as theyre loved for who they are and not the results they received

i did back in May they where only college exams no where near as stressful as leaving cert

I think it's fair to say that most of us end up in our 30s or 40s doing something very different that what we were doing when we left school or college.

With the exception of Teachers / Gardai etc

I did quite well in my leaving and couldn't afford college. Got pregnant when I was twenty then. Raging I worked so hard lol.

Thrilled for my daughter heading off on her new chapter...she did fantastic and am a happy relieved parent that didn't doubt that the point's would reflect the hard graft she put in...but thank fuckily it's done...phew

Is it me or have exams gotten easier worked out today that I would have goten only 430 points if it were today (given myself the benefit in new scoring system ) yet at the time I could do whatever I wanted to in college

Having just seen my son through the exam, I would say they are more difficult than when I did it 33 years ago. Demand for third level courses back then was way lower than it is now, so it was easier to get a place.
