Ah yes, the year of Oasis and Britpop. When every bloke in Ireland, almost overnight, stopped tucking their shirt in.

Oasis are releasing "be here now" with remastered versions. Two pre release tunes are "D'you know what I mean" which is absolutely amazing and a live at knebworth version of "my big mouth" absolutely on an oasis frenzy the last few days. Even more then usual!

Yeah, I saw a promo clip for the re-release. Although that album suffered from being a bit bloated with material. Don't know if I could handle 3 CD's worth. But sure I'm a glutton for punishment.

Don't go away is my absolute ultimate fave so hope he doesn't mess with that, all around the world was already too long on previous remastered versions. A lot of what will be on the album in live versions and demos. It's just the remastered ones I'd be interested in hearing. D'you know what I mean is excellent, it's a NG version so you can hear the orchestra throughout the song

2fm do an hour from 12-1 every Friday, mostly 90's dance tunes, always a good hour if you like that type of music. Which I very much do.

It's not something I'd do often, but there are plenty of good oldskool nights for a bit of nostalgia you forget till the next day you're not a teenager any more lol

What was good about the 1990s, IMHO, was that guitar-based pop music made a comeback. It's fashionable to knock Britpop now but Oasis, Blur, Pulp etc. did write and record some great tunes.
