You are right, clear the browsing history, turn off the phone fully then turn it on again, it should be right as rain again!! It worked for me anyway!!

Check your browser settings for location access. You probably connected to wireless somewhere and your browser hasn't reset. That's the simple explanation.

Yeah it takes a little while to change back...could be clicking it for about ten minutes sometimes before it changes....i found it good to use on the train a while ago to see everybody around along the route.
