Out in the sticks

The figures from Sydney University show a 3.8% increase in people going dogging compared to this time last year.

Although the known dogging locations show a 74.5% decrease in doggers!

(Figures for Rep. of Ireland)

I have drove to a few spots in the south East recently. Nothing going on then you see some people who may be spoiling the fun. Anyone know of somewhere private me please .

I think it's in a bit of a transitional phase at the moment. Those that used to go out are getting a bit older (and wiser?) so they either stopped or don't go out as much.

The younger ones seem to be all talk, they love the idea but when it comes down to it they chicken out.

We still go out but very rarely. The stars have to align. Someone to mind the kids, no weekend work, money, tiredness, periods and if you can get all that sorted.....

No-one turns up!!

We don't like to plan, if it feels right while we're out on the town, we'll post something on Fab and check the 'who is near' section and see who turns up.

Have to admit though, as we get older, indoor meetings are more of an attractive proposition.

You see? It's not dead, just not as common. Or should that be more "exclusive"?

No it's not dead

Certain spots may no longer be used because social media has told every man and his dog, where couples meet, but new spots are found every week

Dogging threads certainly aren't dead. They come back to life months and years later.

Tallaght

The demise of dogging has nothing to do with global pandemics ... it has been in decline for many years before Covid. Unfortunately, the main reason for the decline in dogging is the very medium we are currently using ... taaa daaaa ... the internet! Too many Johnny wannabe's asking for dogging locations and too many (un)helpful people disclosing them .... result ... too many assholes chasing doggers from pillar to post! Am I wrong?

moira ish

Think the smartphone with camera and the lack of discretion by many leading to spots becoming overrun by clueless individuals.Plus so much easier to meet like minded people online now.So yes dogging is dead or on life support at very least.

We have tried dogging locations countless times over the years and only once ever met another couple, always just full of single men, would love to know some of the genuine locations, we find pre arranging it takes the fun out of it

All pre arranged now, been years since I’ve stumbled into a spontaneous one. Too many people with no sense of other peoples boundaries and privacy.

Pre-arranged is the way to go with anyone else who likes outdoor
