So question for you all .... Real lives are busy etc and working fab in around that can be hard at times . So do you make it clear in first few messages how long it will be before you can meet ?? and if you have a few people you want to meet , would you let them know eg : I've 2 men I've been planning to meet so I'll meet you after , I prefer honesty but lately I can do no right ...

Much prefer honesty myself..however..in my years on fab I have found a recurrent theme..if..like me your easy going and not pushy, you will find contacts are quite likely to take advantage of that and meet other guys thinking that they can come back to you..I had two single ladies actually admit to this policy lately...

I dont get much time to meet people as real life keeps me very occupied most of the time but where there is a will there is always a way.

If the spark is there between all the parties then it will happen, but if its not ment to be it's just not ment to happen.

I dont mind having to wait to meet someone if they have sparked my curiosity, but i meet lots and nothing more has ever happened, but thats just the way it is.

But i think its better for people to be upfront about the situation.

I'm with you I prefer the truth and would work around both schedules your life out of fab is more important than anything else

Even trying to meet friends for a drink or a beer can take some arranging as they aren't free some nights, I'm not free some nights.

People can't drop things and meet for a meal/beer so arranging a FAB meet with strangers can be even trickier!

I don't have a fuck list with a ranking order so that I could say you're the third on the list and I'll meet you in three month.... ....

It's of no one business if you ask me and I think it has nothing to do with honesty rather than it's simply impossible to put a timeline on a possible meet. Also it would be read as a promise and puts pressure on.

It will take the time it needs to meet and who doesn't understand that should go a field further

We don't see any need to justify our timescale, or see why it might be our business if someone is arranging other meets or has other commitments outside fab.

Even if one looks at Social Meets, someone announces about arranging one and most of the replies are "Depends on date.."

If one was announced for 30th July all one gets is posts "We're busy that night"!

1 work 50-60 hours most weeks and have kids. My time to meet is limited. I might chat to people on and off for weeks, even months before the opportunity arises that suits both. It's a bit mad to think on a swinging site, people get jealous or possessive over people their talking to. If someone has a meet while I'm chatting to them, but can't meet them. Fair play to them, their doing what they're supposed to be doing. What's meant for you won't pass you by.

I make it clear in my profile what my real world situation is. I've chatted to some fantastic people in the last six months but for one reason or another our times never seem to sync. Most have been couples who inevitably have busy work lives and family just like myself which must and will always come first. I think if you really want someone then they will be worth the wait, cutting someone off permanently because of timing issue they might not have any choice in will limit your options unecessarily so. If you think they are fobbing you off then cut contact otherwise Stay in touch and on good terms, good thing come to those who wait.

The only read on anyone might have a right to be annoyed is if they have arranged a meet only to be cut off as the time nears only to see the person post a verification for a meet that night. Hedging your bets is sneaky but seems to happen a lot. Apart from that no one ha's the right to tell you or even moan about who you want to meet. Jealously is possibly the most dangerous emotion on fab

I reckon its not the order things happen, ie ppl are free to meet whoever they want...but more that people say they are too busy to meet but meet anyway even if your free.

It's obviously their choice and have decided to meet someone else even though you were trying to arrange a meet and both parties claimed to have wanted to...but I think a lot of frustration comes from the fact that people are afraid to be upfront..

.from my point view .ive definitely fallen out with a few girls who have been less that 100% straight with me..i just walk away rather than get narky I have to say...but if some one cant tell me they aren't free because they have a meet allready...then I sorta wonder what their agenda is...just spit it out..its a sex site and surely the assumption is that we are all arranging more than one meet at any given time???...

OP I suggest just being straight at the outset and say u can't meet for x weeks, as u have a few meets arranged. That my policy and hasn't lost me any quality meets. First indication of tetchiness or jealousy is enough for me not to meet. Good way of filtering out drama queens. I have had some tetchy fabbers, but have had more very patient fabbers who I have conversed with a long time before meeting, and have no issue with me meeting others. "OP I suggest just being straight at the outset and say u can't meet for x weeks, as u have a few meets arranged. That my policy and hasn't lost me any quality meets. First indication of tetchiness or jealousy is enough for me not to meet. Good way of filtering out drama queens. I have had some tetchy fabbers, but have had more very patient fabbers who I have conversed with a long time before meeting, and have no issue with me meeting others. Stand firm in your beliefs op...you are here for your enjoyment and only you can ensure that by sticking to what you know is right for you.

Do stay in touch though as people loose interest and to be honest I personally find it a little insulting that someone thinks that they can pick it up closer to the meet with little or no contact in the interim. If interested put in the effort...both parties

I reckon its not the order things happen, ie ppl are free to meet whoever they want...but more that people say they are too busy to meet but meet anyway even if your free.

It's obviously their choice and have decided to meet someone else even though you were trying to arrange a meet and both parties claimed to have wanted to...but I think a lot of frustration comes from the fact that people are afraid to be upfront..

.from my point view .ive definitely fallen out with a few girls who have been less that 100% straight with me..i just walk away rather than get narky I have to say...but if some one cant tell me they aren't free because they have a meet allready...then I sorta wonder what their agenda is...just spit it out..its a sex site and surely the assumption is that we are all arranging more than one meet at any given time???...

Sometimes there's always one or two will stand out from the crowd!! Whether it be fit pics funny witty charming whichever I usually know within first few msgs if I wanna meet. So ill definitely make the time after all the tantalising and teasing msgs. I dont bother wasting anyone's time including my own by sending endless msgs and nit really wanting the meet x

I'm honest with folk. I tell them i work weeks so its evenings and weekends for me. Generally i try to work round a potential meets schedule ( chivalry fab style )

I wouldn't bandy about names of potential meets but i wouldn't lie if i had a few upcoming. Hell the 2 ladies may fancy one another and the holy grail of an mff is mine

...and if I think there's an agenda then it's definitely a strike out...simple. Plenty more out there and there'salways the regulars.

Sure we all try to have several irons in the fire, doesn't mean you are obliged to tell a possible meet about it. It's none of their business and it only triggers unnecessary questions. No agenda behind it, simply about privacy and discretion.
