how easy is a move to ireland ?

just thought we would put it out there in the hope that we can get some usefull info as we are thinking of moving over to ireland (dublin area pref),can anybody help us out xx

We found it really easy tho my husband did have a job to come to here. Just found a house to rent and came over. Registered for PPS numbers (a bit like NI numbers) and I got work too. Was easy to get the kids into schools. That was 16 years ago tho - could have changed.

I doubt it can be too hard now with being in the EU.

Dublin is very very expensive - especially renting or buying a house.

thanks for that, we know dublin isnt cheap but we both have job offers in dublin as we work in the pub trade lol. we dont have kids either to tag along with us just an old dog we couldnt leave behind,xx not set on dublin just made sense as to the work situation xx

be mindful of the housing shortage at the moment..dublin rents are insane

Even in the rebel county housing could become a challenge. IRL has not learned its lesson from the last crisis and is on the way to price itself out if the market

But that shouldn't scare ya. And if you work within the hospitality industry you will have contacts , friends etched in no time at all

around and about ,as travel.

Been here 12 years so in height of boom and managed to get job .

rent in Dublin is pricy a lot of people are outside Dublin now and commute.
