I've never bought a new car due to the depreciation value, you will get far more bang for your buck if you get something that's a year old.

I'm waiting on my VW.. It's a new polo but it comes with free insurance!

Also you get better finance on a new car than on a 1 year old, so that makes up for the depreciation.

"What is a 162? Never heard of that type of car? "

It's not a type of car, it's the registration plate. Cars registered in the first six months of 2016 are 161 regs, those registered in the second half of the year are 162 regs.

I dont own a minor, or any other sixties machine, its seventies and eightys cars im into.

What i will say is my daily driver was bought eight years ago and including the purchase price ive spent less than 2000€ thats under 250 a year , so with tax and insurance and the 55eu nct scam i have my annual motoring costs at 1000€ per annum

I do 12500 miles a year and costs about 2000 in petrol about 40mpg with a foot so heavy them tdi's cant see where ive gone
