Well O'Shea is 35 so maybe he needed the rest we don't know. But he's a top class defender and I know he wouldn't have made those mistakes

He said there was no communication in the defence against belguim and blamed o shea as the experienced one. Would blame darragh maloney for not pointing it out to them . Rip bill would have said it to them, The team played well and at least had a go and tried to play football.

Yes, well spotted. He has a major gripe with O'Neill after O'Neill called him out recently as being a poor analyst and an average player in his time. He was giving out why Wes wasn't on from the beginning. He's 34 ffs and had a great tournament, but had the ball taken from him twice in great position.....dunphy failed to point that out.

The reality is that the Irish team performed better than expected and they nearly took France down too. Nobody has brought an actual football playing performance like that out of of an Irish team, not even Charlton

Dunphy is a little snake always looking for is moment to strike. Makes a living out of largely spouting negative nonsense

The team has and generally go as far as can be expected. They would need a lot to go their way to get by France. Much the same way a lower league team would need plenty of luck in knocking a premier league team out of a cup competition

We are one step down from the very top nations in terms of quality and try to make up for it with lots of heart

But of course Dunphy needs to keep himself in a job so singling out individuals is the way to go for him

Mr69: tough luck boys & girls, I was in Chester this aft with a load of Taffs home from France and they were extolling the virtues of the NI fans in the stadium yesterday, you did NI proud. I haven't seen the ROI match yet but I heard... ...no big semifinal for us all then I'll thank you in advance for your good wishes against Iceland.
