Good morning all, I'll be in Dublin this weekend with a bunch of guys and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good live music venue, preferably outside of the Temple Bar area, but not too far out.

thank you in advance.

Hi thanks for your reply, I should have said that, ideally we're looking for some traditional Irish music.

I know the Temple Bar area has it in abundance but I'm thinking with a dozen guys, it may not be easy to get in etc.

Swords

Try Peadar Kearneys pub in Dame Street just outside Temple Bar. Music brilliant and they welcome groups ! Top spot

I agree Peaders is great but 12 of you won't fit in to it on a weekend.

It's sweat box. Great place for a smaller group or couples etc.

There's another great place up beside Christ Church. If you walk up Dame Street towards Christ Church you take the right turn at the church.

Darkey Kelly's 19 Fishamble St, Christchurch, Dublin 2.

Google it. Great for music.

On the other side of the street, as in take a left instead of right, you have the Bull and Castle. I'm sure they do music.

The other option is The Brazen Head on the opposite side of Christ Church.

Hope those help,

T.

Jump on the dart & head north to Howth. Great pub just under the train station called the Bloody Stream.... and it's beside the sea
