I used to steward at Old Trafford when I went to uni in Manchester. Company called ces does the security. They've been doing it for years and years. The stewards are all just issued with an id and then turn up for events you want to work. Don't know how good the vetting is but always thought it would be easy for someone with bad intentions to slip in

This something else though. The main guys in the company are all ex army, I'd imagine them that left the device during training exercise. Few red faces today

Depends on how procurement perceive matters. Whilst it's fair to say there is one negative, but many positives.

That said, the consequences are truley unlimited, whilst understanding that everyone can at some point make a mistake, the contractor here ignored the basics by not demonstrating a basic evaluation of his task post event by not counting his remaining dummy device stock. If the Munich beer festival ran out of beer, or an aircraft had not enough fuel to complete a flight, then the onus is on the party tasked with being responsible for the assignment in hand. It gives me no pleasure in saying that in this instance the contractor has displayed that they are irresponsible and as such a re-evaluation is genuinely required.
