My town

Is swinging the new trend on tv . Yesterday jeremy kyle talking about it and seemed very interested. I read this morning that eastenders belinda slater and husband in eastenders are swingers. Is it getting more excepted now.

i think it will always be a personal choice. Some will some won't do it. It's what ur into as a couple. Do u want a normal relationship or ones that involve thressums and partner swapping etc

I think it will b v common soon . I see my teenagers talking abt 3 ways and sharing girls so if thats anything to go by when there my age there will b no hiding it

I think it will be more accepted in a few years.

The rate of social evolution is increasing. 30 years ago my mother was shamed for separating from her husband, now we have gay marriage.

even 50 shades has helped by desensitising people to kink and alternative lifestyles. Consensual sex between adults isn't such a big deal really.

The advent of social media and sites like this has had a big influence on society in a very short peroid of time,casual sex is now not the big shamefully sin it was adding partners into the mix seems to be some thing that happens no only on swing sites young adults are no longer afraid to express their sexuality. In general sex has become more acceptable outside of marriage and between multiple partners our kids have a very different attitude than we had hell when the first sex shop opened in limerick there was prayer vigils the lot now there is a open swing club here.

I don't think it take a full century but within a generation the scene will have changed

Swinging seems to be more acceptable with younger people,to be honest most the people we know wouldnt give a shit if we told them we were swingers...weve found its the older crowd that seem to be more secretive about it and perhaps thats just adding to the stigma that its a shameful thing,our generation sleep around and fuck who they want and dont give it a second thought or care who knows, older generation were brought up differently,in the Europe its alot more open, even just across the water there is alot of swinger bars and clubs etc and you dont see that plastered all over the news lol it will be the same here soon enough

I second previous post. Swinging is sort of mainstream in mainland Europe and the UK. It wouldnt make any headlines anymore

Ireland consistent in its tradition will need another 20 years...but in all fairness it should be acknowkedged it came a long way already. A platform like this in the 90 were probably unthinkable. But i am sure there was kink and naughtiness behind closed doors at all times. At least the traditional ballads diclose a lot of moan and groan about promiscuity...which is just hard wired into humans and even catholic surpression of sexuality could not wipe it out
