Ive had guys saying on the forums that they can't pm me because of my age preferences Which is fine as its my choice. But then I am getting messages from people who are outside my preferred age preference? Does anyone know why this is?

Yea it happened to me a few times ,I just log off and reset the firlters ,works that way

I have filtered out messages from profiles with no public pics but I still get them so there's a flaw in the filters somewhere.

Our filters seem to work... or maybe nobody outside them ever tries to message us!

What I don't like is the idea that photo-verified is no different to meet-verified where filters are concerned.

Because of some nasty messages doing the rounds, I changed a lot of my mail filters. Never used to really use filters before, apart from age preference. I've been getting messages from people that I've filtered out too. Don't think the filter thingy is working at all.

If someone has messaged you before you changed your filters they can still message you after

That's why newbies get bombarded with hundreds of messages when they join and they're frigged if they've opened them.

Might be extreme for some but have you tried blocking single guys to see if it's any different to a strict age filter?

I'll either sound really stupid or just stupid with this

but is it possible that the filters act on a profile's IP address and maybe if they had a different profile and age the site couldn't tell the difference? Does that makes sense, no? Where's my taxi?

Age range Imo can be fickle anyway! U might have it set for lads 35 to 45 so say a 34 yo can't mail u. In all honesty whats the diff between most 34 n 35 yo guys. I understand some filters have to be put in place or ud have every male between 18 n 99 mailing u

I don't think so. They had face pics in public and I didn't recognise them. And I've always had my age range the same. I've never changed it.. It's just odd

Maybe they changed their age. You are allowed to once if you get your age wrong which I find strange. Other than that maybe as was mentioned earlier by someone that the filters aren't fool proof.

It's a shame this can happen,but it could turn out to be a good thing that you posted this thread,if site admin look at it they may try rectify this problem,it is a woman's prerogative what age she choose's on here,and it's a pity that some of the limited intelligence male's on here pm you,if it's not rectified,if i were you i would threaten to report them and possibly name and shame them on here.You come across alway's on here as a highly intelligent woman,it's very inconsiderate of men to do this.

Some profiles I have seen with a age range and it says only after it then others it doesn't say only. If only Is not there u can message the person even though u might not be in the age bracket
