Day 5.... A bit broken.

Dublin West

So day 5.

Have 841km done but to be honest I feel a bit broken today.

Physically this is starting to break me a bit. 6am this morning freezing cold in horizontal rain wasn't the best start to the day and for the first time I questioned myself on why I am doing this.

I can't answer why I am just I know I have to. I know that this will become a battle of mind over suffering. As a regular cyclist my ability to suffer has improved over the years and I have a feeling that the next 9 days are going to test that ability more and more.

I again thank those that are mailing me and texting me. Your interest and best wishes push me on when I am feeling a bit sorry for myself.

Tomorrow will be better.

And Saturday I rejoin the cycle in sligo for the day and get to cycle shoulder to shoulder with people that have suffered more than I can imagine who fill me with awe.

And Saturday night I get to see some of you lot.

And tomorrow with luck I will pass through the 1000km so I have much to look forward to.

But today I'm not really OK.

But it's OK not to be OK..

But tomorrow will be better.

Sean.
