I really really don't understand why men claim on their profile they are straight and have loads of verifications from males and only males at that some of them. What exactly is the big shame of being bi in a place like this?? And don't say it's because some couples won't meet bi guys. If a couple was going to meet a guy you can be damn sure they would look at the profile and see said verifications from males. I think the men are in denial to themselves. I applaud the males who put they are bi on their profiles..

First of all I wanna say that I agree with you that nobody owes anybody else an explanation as to why they aren't attracted to a certain type of person. Everyone's free to state a preference. But I think Doghunter explained how it was prejudicial pretty well in her original post: there's nothing about your average bi man that would make his "bi-ness" visible, other than saying he is bi. In my experience bi men don't behave radically differently to straight or gay men. The idea that someones sexual preference will have an effect on their behaviour is a strange one.

It's fair enough if the thought of two men getting off turns you off though - and maybe hearing someone is bi makes you imagine that, so you get turned off. I still think that's tied in with the old notions of queerness being dirty. Doesn't make someone a bad person for feeling that way, but I think these things are worth exploring and questioning.

I do think that putting "not interested in bi guys" on a profile is a waste of time as some guys will just lie about their sexual preferences to try to get to meet.

I'm sure if anyone here goes back through the guys they've met,either here or elsewhere, they will find at least one "straight" guy who has played with other guys on more than 1 occasion. If two guys have a sexual experience together and one, or both, of them come away thinking "I didn't enjoy that, why did I do it, never again" then I would call that guy straight.

I think the sexual orientation is just more of a future preference than past bio. There is spectrum of course so a bi guy can be something else than 50/50. I've hooked up with guys on occasion but would way prefer a woman so alot of guys just say straight.

Honestly I think there is a fuck tonne of lads who are on fab who are bi or closet bi & roll with "straight" as there preference out of insecurity I guess or being uncomfortable with the own sexual preferences or intrigues, evidence of this can be surely found in the fact that 9/10 TV/TS pics are at the top of the Irish Hot Pics section.

There is no shame in being a bi guy. A lot of "straight" guys on here have a drawer with some womens panties in it, and will cd, and fuck other men be fucked.

There is nothing wrong with these things, however they become higher risk when they are done with someone in the closet.

If someone is in the closet they are more likely to pick seedier meets. It's proven that rates of disease are going up in the closet bisexual people, and not going up as much in the open gay/bi people.

Best thing you can do if you want to be with a bi guy, is to pick one that is totally out of the closet, who does not hide who they are with, and is therefore more prone to playing safe.

I've turned down 3 requests by (not all bi) from guys offering to veri me. Needless to say I told them I'm straight and not interested...I don't need a veri to meet lol. Guess that makes me straight

You hit the nail on the head. Most people assume they dont admit it because it reduces the chance of meets. We know know being bi doesn't in anyway reduce your chances. I can vouch for that.

Every "straight" guy that messages me now I ask him as standard first response why he won't admit he's bi. After a short while most admit it's shame and embarrassing to admit it. Nothing to do with reducing chances of a meet for the vast majority but that's only the closest bi guys I've spoken to
