At a minimum. IMO. It's manslaughter. Should be banned. Savage barbarism.

Sad news but people die at doing a lot of sports. Very few casualties. Boxing is a lot more dangerous

Boxing teaches to be skilled both in aggression and in defence. If a competitor looks to be in trouble the referee calls a halt. He dosent have to wait for the fighter to be rendered unconscious and boxing certainly dosent encourage competitors to continue beating the shite out of an unconscious man.

Yes more are injured in boxing. But as Barack Obama said you are also more likely to be killed slipping in your bath than by a terrorist bomb.

Boys will be boys and want aggression and that needs to be catered for. That's why we have karate judo and other respected martial arts.

What the world dosent need is this bastardist version of various legitimate sports where you take away the safeguards and allow a free for all between a group of grunts with zero rules and zero safeguards.

Ban it now

You might be right. It may not be banned.

But look at stuff like this poor man been beaten to death. Look at what comes out of Conor McGregors mouth and compare it to what Muhammed Ali had to say for himself when he was on top of his game.

Look at the low lifes that are at the top of professional boxing now and compare its popularity now to when Ali was the poster boy.

Look at amateur boxing and its public image.

Sports to succeed need good publicity and public support. This barbarity will be seen for what it is and the public will vote with their feet.

Ten years from now McGregor will be working in Supermacs and this crap will be a 30 second video on Reeling in the years

Agree with most of that, it's technically not a sport as very few actual rules, it will never be as popular as the established sports but I certainly see its attractive to a certain audience.

RIP to this guy, very sad news indeed.
