The Cork ones wont like that and seen as it was the only county in Ireland not to totally surrender to martial law during the war of independence , and If Im not wrong it was the British senior military staff whom called it the rebel county .

before it was a rebel county it was very much a royal county , with people waving union jacks to the young Irish men with British uniforms going of to the great war. It wasn't uncommon for young Irish girls to marry British solders from England,

So now the only real rebel Co is south Armagh lol

Of course you could be right , If the war of indepedance is still in progress in that case Im incorrect ,south Armagh deserves an honourable mention .I should know they are my neighbours.lol
