Ok folks! As promised, the hotel is booked, deposit paid and we are ready to get the ball rolling and take names for invites

Please email this profile and give me your email address for the invite

This event will open at 8pm and bar closes at 1230pm, there will be finger food etc on the night and DJ to keep us all bopping away

The price is €15 per head. This is to cover the price of the food, room hire, DJ etc. Any monies left never will be donated to Focus Ireland

We will be going through the invite requests during the wk and sending out initial invites next week. As always, please keep all info to yourself, if anyone is asking you about location etc, if they were invited then they will have the same info as you so no need to tell them!

Numbers are limited and you need to be meet verified in order to attend, and we will be asking to see your verifications.

Only afew wks to get it all in place now so roll on the 30th

Rates around 110 - 140 per room for hotels in the area so already up in price in the last 24 hours.

also if you are using booking also check with the hotel you are looking at its self sometimes they are cheaper direct.

I think it's important to point afew things out.

1: we restrict the social to meet verified fabbers for the simple reasoning that they are more likely to show up. Laid and I have invested a lot of money for this party to happen and we need some sort of guarantee of making the money back. We try and invite as many people as possible as we want a wide variety of fabbers to attend and get in to the community

2: socials aren't for everyone. That's fine, but for those who do enjoy them it means they have to organise time off work, save for a night away, book baby sitters hotels etc and they deserve a good night out

3: all the "profit" from this is going to Focus Ireland. We chose this charity as homelessness is such an important crisis facing the whole of Ireland, not just Dublin. So we chose a nation wide charity as fabbers come from all over Ireland for these socials

Its a pity you feel you need to justify your actions.

Im of the opinion its your party your rules, whatever they may be.

There is no obligation on anyone on here to organise one and the fact anyone does then site members should be greatful.

Even if it was a profit making adventure... so feckin what!!!

Your right Kim, our good intentions shouldn't have to be justified to anyone

But my fear is that people who aren't familiar with the forums or haven't been to a social before would be put off by the likes of the comments above which just isn't fair on them

Frequent forumites will sniff a profile a mile off that is "new" but clearly is people that were here and have an axe to grind, and they don't think of the bigger picture, these socials aren't for laid and I, they are for the community in general

Anyone who goes to the bother on fab to host a social, a play party or even a small get together in a pub which benefits fab and the community should be commended and not condemned

But hey ho, those bad minded peeps are few and far between thankfully, and I'm sure the 150+ and growing guest list will enjoy the night for what it is

Agree fully with this. Sadly there will always be some negative numpty trying to knock and mock the attempts of those who go out of their way for the community's benefit.

Have heard from a few experienced swingers that previous L&L MnG's have been some of the best.
