I'll gladly admit I'm not the fastest crayon in the box

But does any one else struggle with acronyms, I personally do, so much so that I've start to use my own, just so people, mainly younger siblings and family members know what it feels like, for example.

AJH. Ahhhhh jaysus howya

Imltlo. In my less than learned opinion

Neli. Not even laughing inwardly

Mas. Midly amused smirk

Dns. De nort soyid

"Bar "lol", I don't use them. "

The one acronym that annoys me the most is "lol", I prefer the old school Hahahah, or even a laughing emoji to "lol"

and it's even found its way into spoken word. I literally heard someone the other day saying "OMG#LoLs"

Dns: de nort soyid, is written as it is spoken in its native north side Dublin accent.

I would never say LOL when speaking to someone in the flesh. So wrong.

WB, you being Captain of The Grammar Police, your use of acronyms surprises me.

The DoubleUB-miester General is no Captain, . Shiver me timbers. I am spending too much time on the forums, so much so I've started to refer to myself in the third person just like KTK

Fun fact. The word acronym only accounts for abbreviations where the letters spell out a new word. Like "NASA" or "lol". If you have to individually pronounce each letter, like "wtf" or "BBC", then it's called initialism.
